These images are taken from an ongoing project, currently titled “When ELIZA met PARRY”. It explores the usage of AI in psychiatry, and the disquiet induced by both computational and traditional approaches to diagnosis and treatment. Small high-chromatic polymer clay sculptures depict the nerve structures in tractography brain scans. Photographed, then reworked, these simulate the fallibilities of machine and human perception.
