‘How to dance naked and directionless’, video performance, 2021
After a year of solitude, asphyxiated by digital screens, we desired to claim back physical bodies when we felt more dissociated from them than ever. This project is a result of an open call where people around the world sent us videos where they danced alone in their space.
A story of decadence, greed and ego in a hyper individualistic society in neoliberal capitalism where the spectacle has become the dominant model of life, especially on social media. The story follows a fictional character, lil satoshi, who got rich by his early investment in Bitcoin.
Who am I? I am a human, I am a woman. I could be anything, I could be nothing. But right now I am just a picture that laying on your screen. When you open your eyes and move your mouse, what can you see? Can you see me? And what can you see through me?
A site-specific project about my dad and his allotment: mypoembox.com is a digital and interactive version of a performance that reveals written text about that place as you scroll a roll of handmade banana paper, between my house and the allotment. On the website I propose you to reflect about your own family and share it with the public.

Human being. To be, or not to be? During the five months of linear time in London, I still live and exist actively, and believe that free will has not yet dispersed; I live in an information age, and through the Internet, an artificial dimension, but there is no “to be, or not to be”. You talk about COVID, I ask if you have seriously imagined aliens; you say to escape into the void, I say then you have already enter into.
This is a new experimentation, searching for a way to give my paintings a physical body in a room. Interrogating the light that is able to be omnipresent in a place, I try to get different perceptions of my painted landscape through the utilisation of red light corresponding to the red colour of my monochrome.
Belle’s work focuses on spirituality, sexuality and magic. She aims to contribute to the archive of artwork that documents humanity’s spiritual expression. Alongside her illustrations Belle has begun research into whether spirituality can be assessed through scientific method, using brain scans to illuminate what happens when an individual practices rituals.
