These images are taken from an ongoing project, currently titled “When ELIZA met PARRY”. It explores the usage of AI in psychiatry, and the disquiet induced by both computational and traditional approaches to diagnosis and treatment. Small high-chromatic polymer clay sculptures depict the nerve structures in tractography brain scans. Photographed, then reworked, these simulate the fallibilities of machine and human perception.

Holly Moore’s work has a strong focus on narrative, and elements of construction are always present in her photography in the form of collage, set builds or photo-manipulation.
She is inspired by storytelling, space and the suburban environment at night, and the mystery and intrigue that is often found there.
‘Deciphering Diagrams’ is an interactive website combining pattern, text and optical illusion to describe the journey of a person trapped inside the event horizon of a black hole. Lauren’s research interests are Astrophysical, designing sculptures that could survive extreme circumstances.

‘My girlhood fantasy suffered a huge destruction …’
